I'm a newly married step-mom to 2 beautiful children. I have no kids of my own and have never been married before. My husband has a 6-yr-old son and a 4-yr-old daughter from a previous marriage. My step son lives with us full time and my step daughter lives with her mom. We have both kids every other weekend. I'm starting this journal at the advice of a friend who is already a member of a step-mom community on livejournal.com. I suppose I'm looking to relate with other step-moms who can share my feelings, experiences, frustrations, joys, and excitements of step-motherhood. It is difficult to talk with many of my friends because they just don't understand what it is like. My husband and I have been married less than a year, but have been living together for a couple of years. I hope to gain a little sanity by finding I'm not alone and that others share my experiences. Oh yes ... I also have 2 other "kids" (if you don't count my hubby ;-)) ... Jesse my German Shepard and our cat, Lacey.
